The 1st year of LUDC only commenced in February 2005 after 10 weeks of trying to get the society established. A simple ladder procedure was employed for the remainder of the year. This ladder system saw people from adjacent rows playing each other every week and points awarded for a win; the number of points varyed depending on how high up the ladder you were. If you won the previous week then you play someone above you in the ladder and if you lost the previous week then you would play someone below you on the ladder.

Below are the final standings for ladder. Since Chris Wn and Ben S did not lose all year and had not played each other, there was a final playoff for LUDC champion, which Ben won.
